The main volcano is called ‘Kibo’, often also called ‘Uhuru,’ both of which are synonymous with the summit of Kilimanjaro. Kibo is in fact the name of the highest volcano on Kilimanjaro, and Uhuru, is the name of the actual peak on Kibo.
